Cafe con Tampa is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that holds community forums to discuss important issues facing Tampa Bay. Our weekly gatherings of neighborhood and community leaders takes place on Friday mornings from 8:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. at Oxford Exchange.
At the Friday gatherings, we have speakers who talk for 5-10 minutes. The rest of the time is spent with Q&A and discussion of issues brought up by participants. We also encourage participants to make community announcements at the beginning of the program.
We also hold other community forums and gatherings.
No Membership Fee
Cafe con Tampa events are open to everyone, and all are welcome to attend. There is no membership cost, and no need to register or RSVP. For the Friday gatherings, we do ask that everyone pays $12 for a breakfast buffet (the restaurant charges us per person whether you eat or not).
We want everyone to feel welcome. If you are a student or community organizer and cannot afford to attend our events, please contact us. Regular participants make donations that we use for “scholarships” to enable people to attend for free if needed.
